Dame Patsy Reddy

Dame Patsy Reddy was appointed to the Trust Board in 2024. She served as the Governor-General of New Zealand from 2016–2021.

Trained as a lawyer, Dame Patsy Reddy has had extensive experience in non-executive governance and business consulting roles in both the public and private sector, and with creative and charitable organisations. She was appointed as Chair of the Climate Change Commission in December 2024 and is currently Chair of New Zealand Rugby and a director of New Zealand Rugby Commercial. She also chairs the NZSO Foundation, is a director of Crown Regional Holdings, and a trustee of the Aspen Institute of NZ. Dame Patsy has previously served as a non-executive director of Air New Zealand, NZ Post, SkyCity Entertainment and Telecom New Zealand, as Chair of the NZ Film Commission and Deputy Chair of NZ Transport Agency and was a Chief Crown Negotiator for Treaty Settlements. She also co-led, with Sir Michael Cullen, the Independent Review of Intelligence and Security in New Zealand. She is Patron of the NZ Centre for Brain Research, Sarjeant Gallery Te Whare o Rehua Whanganui, the Wellington Sculpture Trust, NZ Opera, Hospice Wairarapa and He Ringa Āwhina – the Wellington Regional Charity Hospital Trust.
