Dame Patsy Reddy

Dame Patsy Reddy was appointed to the Trust Board in 2024. She served as the Governor-General of New Zealand from 2016–2021.

Trained as a lawyer, Dame Patsy Reddy has had extensive experience in non-executive governance and business consulting roles in both the public and private sector, and with creative and charitable organisations. She is currently Chair of New Zealand Rugby and a director of New Zealand Rugby Commercial. She also chairs the NZSO Foundation, is a director of Crown Regional Holdings, and a trustee of the Aspen Institute of NZ. Dame Patsy has previously served as a non-executive director of Air New Zealand, NZ Post, SkyCity Entertainment and Telecom New Zealand, as Chair of the NZ Film Commission and Deputy Chair of NZ Transport Agency and was a Chief Crown Negotiator for Treaty Settlements. She also co-led, with Sir Michael Cullen, the Independent Review of Intelligence and Security in New Zealand. She is Patron of the NZ Centre for Brain Research, Sarjeant Gallery Te Whare o Rehua Whanganui, the Wellington Sculpture Trust, NZ Opera, Hospice Wairarapa and He Ringa Āwhina – the Wellington Regional Charity Hospital Trust.
